About us

Our Toledo, Ohio based facility was founded in 1997 under the name “Imaging Systems Technology” by four siblings. The company was a spin off from a business started by their parents in 1980.

Today, two founding sisters, Carol Wedding and Vicki Kurtz, are an integral part of our US team and are directing the day-to-day operations. Not only do they have decades of expertise and knowledge within our technologies and systems, but they are named inventors on over 50 US patents.

Camera Test

360° camera-based vision systems are the key to safety, driver assistance, accident avoidance, assisted parking, and reversing monitoring. Vipo is a leader in designing custom automated End of Line Test (EOLT) systems for fascia mounted cameras, as well as side and rearview mirror cameras.

Vision Inspection

Dozens of rivets, fasteners and screws on a fascia means dozens of opportunities for mechanical failure. Human operator inspection is tedious, expensive, and prone to error. In answer to this, Vipo offers automated vision inspection as part of Vipo’s End of Line Test (EOLT) System or as a stand-alone work cell.

VectorVGA

In the past 20 years, CRTs (Cathode Ray Tube) have been replaced by other displays, such as LCDs (Liquid Crystal Display) and OLEDs (Organic LEDs). As a result, CRTs are not generally produced anymore and are becoming harder to maintain in existing applications.
