We can trace our roots back all the way to 1896 when Nicolai Andreas Bull Kiøsterud founded Kalosjen Gummifabrikken and turned it into Norway’s leading rubber production company. In the early 1900’s, the factory was dominated by women and the average age was 25 years old.
The site has been through several changes since then with a variety of names including Mjøndalen Gummifabrikk, Viking Mjøndalen, Trelleborg Viking, Trelleborg Offshore and now Vipo.
Today, we continue to be a leader in using polymer expertise to create tailored solutions for customers around the world.
